Central Florida has all of the components necessary to be one of the world's greatest and most admired places. A beautiful environment, a thriving tourism industry, and a variety of technological offerings fill our community with countless opportunities to work, grow, play and explore. To provide a sound future for Central Floridians, we must develop a collaborative plan to maximize regional resources based upon expanded research, collective goals and mutual understanding.
Led by a group of public, private and civic leaders, myregion.org is encouraging unprecedented cooperation among community leaders to create a coordinated, comprehensive plan for Central Florida's future. By creating a collective vision for the region, we're ensuring Central Florida's place in the golbal economy and improving opportunities for generations to come.
How will myregion.org do this?
Quite simply, myregion.org is a tool. It's a tool that Central Florida will use to break down the barriers that divide us. We will take everything we know about our region, bring it here, mix it all together and watch what happens. We will learn what it takes to turn Central Florida into one region with one goal: to be the best and most prosperous community in the world.
myregion.org is led by a Board of Directors from across the region - Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole and Volusia Counties - and by the overall framework of the myregion.org Goals and Objectives, Regional Resolves, Regional Priorities and Regional Systems.
What has myregion.org done so far?
myregion.org wasn't born in a corporate boardroom. No one dreamed it up in a government chamber. This ambitious endeavor came directly from Central Florida's people -- their questions, their worries, their hopes for our community.
