Central Florida Scorecard

At just two weeks old today, a new myregion.org tool is already helping Central Florida leaders gauge the community's progress on growth and quality of life – and now it makes its debut in the state spotlight.

Public and private industry leaders from all over the state will get a look at the Central Florida Scorecard when they gather today and Tuesday at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club for the annual Future of Florida Forum, presented by the Florida Chamber Foundation.

The Central Florida Scorecard, a pilot program of myregion.org and the Florida Chamber Foundation, uses- graphic dials as visual symbols of where the region stands in six general categories and 18 individual indicators. The program is modeled after The Florida Scorecard, which the foundation uses as an accountability tool to help leaders work collectively to implement the components contained within statewide, regional and local strategic plans.

"We're especially proud of the Central Florida Scorecard because it represents the next step for us in planning for the state's future," says Dale Brill, president of the Florida Chamber Foundation. "By bringing our regions, our counties and individual municipalities into the conversation, we can ensure we're all on the same page when we look at how we want to grow in the coming years."

During the Future of Florida Forum, the Foundation will share workforce data and analysis showcased in the latest release of The Florida Scorecard. Additionally, they will discuss the state Department of Economic Opportunity's 5-Year Strategic Plan, the Florida Chamber Foundation's Six Pillars 20-Year Strategic Plan, and findings from the Florida Trade & Logistics Study, Part II.
